New Summer Language and Food Culture Program for 2013

Participating Ontario students will spend 4+ weeks learning basic Mandarin and exploring the many unique aspects of Chinese culinary, wine and tea cultures. Centred at Jiangnan University in the city of Wuxi the program will include lectures, visits to food companies, tea farms, and various cultural attractions in places including Shanghai, Suzhou and Hangzhou.

The program is open to all Ontario students at the participating Ontario universities but may be of special interest to those students in Food Science and Nutrition programs.

The full cost of the program, which will include tuition, accommodation, food and travel to sites, has not yet been established. Participating students are responsible for international travel to China.

Appropriate academic credit can be provided at the discretion of the participating student's home university.

An OJS scholarship of $1000 will be available to participating Ontario students.
